Diesel-Electric Locomotives TK 6003 and TK 6006 | Place: Entroncamento Train Station - Portugal | Day: 27-04-12

--------------

I liked how this photo turned out... I saw both locos standing on platform 10 of the Entroncamento station. Luckly my IC train wasn't running on time so I still managed to catch some photos of these two. :)

I must say of all the modern locomotives, these (and the Siemens Eurorunners) are most definitely the prettiest, it's a shame about the noise the engines make being high RPM units though.

Thank you for the :+fav: before more. And I agree with you completely! :D These are Euro 4000 locos, they usually are only used for freight trains, which means they aren't high RPM units. (Or it depends on what are you refering about though). The Euro 300 locos though, those are hi-RPM units, being able to work with passenger trains. Higher RPM needed for the A/C generator.

Great shot, buddy! I love the location the locomotives are at and the sky makes the shot!

Oh I know! But it was the most annoying rain, you know, those some drops that usually like to go the camera's lens!
